CHS TKAT ACE students visit Cobnor

During our Chichester High School, TKAT ACE visit to Cobnor Activities Centre Trust, pupils had the opportunity to choose between land and water activities.
The group that selected water activities began their adventure by changing into waterproof overclothes and life jackets, with some also wearing swim shoes. They then travelled by speedboat out to the sailing boats.
There were two boats on the water, which created an exciting and friendly sense of competition between the groups. Before setting off, one of the pupils carefully went to the front of the boat to untie the buoy and unhook the chain. Throughout the session, all pupils were given the chance to steer the keel boat, which they greatly enjoyed.
The group spent around two hours sailing, working together and developing their teamwork and sailing skills. When it was time to return, the boats raced back to shore, adding to the excitement of the activity.
After sailing, the pupils changed and enjoyed a warm lunch of soup, a roll, chocolate, and a drink. The visit finished with a short walk along the shoreline before the group returned to school.
The trip was a fantastic experience for the pupils, who showed great enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the day.
