Temporary power outage - today

Dear Parents, Carers and Students

We are writing to thank you for your support and forbearance today whilst we were managing the impact of a power outage which we understand affected the Chichester area. Throughout this, our emergency power system maintained the security of our site and students were able to attend lessons and access food and drink through our canteen at break time in a safe and secure environment.

Our wonderful students and staff showed enormous resilience and teamwork in line with our THRIVE values which enabled the school to function as normal with minimal disruption.

A particular thank you to our year 11 GCSE PE students and their teachers who continued throughout to revise for their exam this afternoon. They were looked after by our catering team who donated a hot lunch for all to enjoy.

We hope that all members of our community have not been adversely impacted by the power outage in and around Chichester. There were some disappointed faces amongst our students when the lights came back on and the decision was made to remain open!

We look forward to seeing everyone again tomorrow morning.

Best wishes

Mrs Lewry and Dr Taylor
