TKAT Aspire Morning
On Friday, 14 February 2025, TKAT students had the opportunity to explore their future aspirations during the highly engaging TKAT Aspire Morning. Designed to inspire both students and staff, the event aimed to provide valuable insights into education and career pathways, ensuring that every student makes informed choices about their future.
The morning began with an introduction from the Head of School/Sixth Form, setting the stage for a day of inspiration and practical advice. Students then participated in a series of insightful presentations from guest speakers representing universities, apprenticeship programs, and successful entrepreneurs.
Claire Bolton from the University of Southampton (a prestigious Russell Group university) kicked off the morning with a thought-provoking talk on making informed subject choices and understanding the benefits of university education. This was followed by a presentation from Rolls Royce, offering students a closer look at apprenticeship opportunities and alternative career routes.
A highlight of the morning was the session led by Heather Barrie from MARSTA Goals, who shared her inspiring journey as an entrepreneur. She explained how studying Business Studies helped her establish and grow her own business, emphasizing the importance of A-level choices in shaping career opportunities.
The event concluded with an engaging talk by Emma from the University of Chichester, who provided students with further insight into higher education and the diverse opportunities available at university.
TKAT Aspire Morning was a fantastic opportunity for students to explore different career paths and educational options. By hearing from industry professionals and university representatives, students gained a clearer understanding of the steps they can take toward a successful future.
With such an enriching experience, we hope this event has encouraged students to aim high, stay ambitious, and make informed decisions about their next steps.
